More than an indie pop band. There’s an essence of nostalgic folk – somehow – mixed in with the electronics and the horns.
Maybe that’s the draw … or maybe, it’s just gotta be sugary sometime.
There's nothing more fantastical than receiving a mixtape in the mail (ok, maybe getting a ModPlexi frame or address plaque, but that's it, nothing else). A guaranteed smile on your face. I swear there could be a whole psychology created around 'mixtape philosophy.' I think it speaks volumes about the person who made it, the person who receives it, and the relationship between all parties involved. A mixtape is like a time capsule; capturing moment and mood. This is my ongoing mixtape.
